The Enchantment of Green Canyon or Cukang Taneuh

Quoted from the Tour de Java, the Green Canyon tourist attraction was formed from the process of dissolving limestone from an underground river that flows between rock crevices.

This natural process that lasted for thousands of years eventually formed canyons or steep rock valleys, then penetrated the karst rocks which in turn formed beautiful ornaments such as stalactites and stalagmites.

Green Canyon, which is fed by the Cijulang River, has very clear water with abundant moss that affects the color of the water to become bluish green. The resulting color is what made Cukang Taneuh introduced with the name Green Canyon.
